Not your typical nail shop in the east village.  This beautiful newly opened nail spa – is just that – a nail spa, versus just a nail salon.  A bit pricier than their neighbors in the area, but certainly worth the few extra bucks to get service from a new, clean facility where the manicurists wear all white.  All the equipment is new and the service is impeccable.

I live in the neighborhood, have lived in NYC for 18 years and have gotten thousands of manicures and pedicures in that time from all over the city. I was told about Orchid Spa by another friend from the neighborhood about 3 years ago. I only go to this spa now for my manicures/pedicures. The price is amazing, the people are super nice and friendly, the atmosphere is lovely. Even in the busiest times, you never have to wait very long. There have been many times I have been in another area of the city and it would have been convenient to go to a different nail place but I always wait until I can get to Orchid. I am a tango dancer and need seriously good treatment for callouses and need to have my nails look good because they are shown every night in my heels. The great nail people at Orchid keep me looking good on the dance floor!

 had a 30-minute chair massage, eyebrow/upper lip wax, and a mani/pedi here today. The masseuse was very nice and the massage was fairly pleasant.. The mani/pedi was great, and the polish looks awesome and hasn’t smudged at all.
